Welcome to the Dunwoody UMC Adult Sunday School Class Webpage.  Above you will see four different links.  The first is simply a link back to this page.  The second and third are links for those classes at 9 and 10:30 a.m., hopefully one will suit your needs.  The last link shows a long list of all the classes.

5th Sunday Combine - twenty30somethings Suite
The twenty30somethings Sunday School classes come together in the twenty30somethings suite for a combined lesson during the months that have a 5th Sunday. We welcome all Young Adults ages 18-35 to join us for these special sessions.  Rev. Ashley leads discussion on various topics. 5th Sunday Combine meets from 9:00-11:30 in the suite and includes breakfast and breaks. Connections - Room  C-201
Connections is a class for single and married adults (50+) who wish to study God’s word and relevant topics generated by a variety of meaningful materials. Member-led lessons, video-taped  presentations, group discussions, and guest speakers are among the variety of teaching methods. Service to others is important to this group -- class members participate in volunteer projects. Members enjoy  monthly dinners out  or  in, birthday celebrations, lunches after church, sporting events, and plays. Faith Quest - Thomas Coke, Room 104
You are invited to join this class for Bible study and discussions of issues on everyday Christian life. This relaxed and friendly group would love to have you join them! Early Birds - Francis Asbury B, Room 105
Do you love to sing? You can sing in the choir and also go to this terrific Sunday School class. Even if you don't sing, you are welcome. The class meets from 9:30 to 10:15 every Sunday except for the first Sunday in the month when they go instead to sing and take communion with the congregation. The lessons are varied. Early Birds is made up of all age groups, singles and married couples. Members join with the Chancel Choir during the year for social activities and trips. Family Focus - Parlor, Room 214
The membership of Family Focus has evolved to include both single and married adults, many with children in high school, college and beyond. Our lessons are designed to enhance our faith journey and have included studies on specific chapters and verses of the Bible, Biblical history and traditions, prayer, John Wesley and Methodism, as well as marriage enrichment and how to care for our aging parents. Our classes are led by class members, church members and others. Classes are informal and encourage member involvement and discussion. Half Time -  Wesley Room, Room 220
A small group in a big church - Adults in their mid 30's to 40's with preschool and school-aged children. Lessons are from the Bible, as well as topics of interest to the group. Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Members are encouraged to serve in the younger children's Sunday School class on the alternating Sundays. More Than Doughnuts - twenty30somethings Suite

Time Out - twenty30somethings suite

Wing and a Prayer - Room 254
Wing & a Prayer is a class for parents of young children focusing on marriage enrichment. Christian parenting and Bible studies, incorporating Christian values into daily activities, and mission outreach. Class members often socialize outside of Sunday mornings. Brand New Day - Wesley Room
Brand New Day is a group of married couples in their 30's and 40's with preschool and elementary children and an occasional newborn added to our family. Our focus is centered on relationships, including our relationship with God, Jesus Christ and our community of fellow Christian believers. Cornerstone - Room 122 (Staff Meeting Room)
The Cornerstone class is comprised of couples in their 20’s and 30’s, both with and without infants/toddlers .  Lessons are taught by class members and have included topics such as World Religions; C.S. Lewis’, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; the Miracles of Jesus, Religion in Art and Women of the Bible. Crossroads - twenty30somethings Suite

Crusaders - Room 258/259
The mission of this class is to worship God by studying His Word, promoting the general welfare of DUMC and fostering love and friendship among the church’s caring older adult members. Teachers from the class lead discussions based on scripture and selected resource materials. Annual fund-raising projects help the elderly and other mission projects. Digging Deeper - Room 252 (2nd and 4th Sundays)
A class for adults, any age and stage, interested in an in-depth study of the Bible. This is aimed at adults who are interested in asking challenging questions and eager to engage in lively class discussions. Faith & Fellowship - Scout Lodge (Girl Scout Room)
This is a class of age 50+ adults who choose a variety of contemporary and biblical short study topics, making it easy to jump in and out when family obligations and travel keep members away. Fellowship - Room C-103 (Women's Activity Room)
A closely-knit supportive group of senior adult friends. The Bible is used for lively discussions with give-and-take on all sides. The class is very active in its support of missionaries, local service projects and fellowship activities. Social events include occasional retreats, holiday parties, lunch/dinner gatherings, birthday and anniversary celebrations and visits from the missionaries supported by the class. Fresh Air - twenty30somethings  Suite
This class is for parents of children 0-6 years old. We study a variety of topics important to parenting and also enjoy conversation and camaraderie with fellow Christians along the journey of faith. Incredible Couples - Room 254

Interpreters - Francis Asbury A, Room 105
The purpose of the Interpreters class is to study the Bible and discuss the meaning and relevance of scriptures in daily life. The Adult Bible Studies Series (International Lesson Series) is used and the class is led by Jack Culbreth and Lewis Brinson, with lively participation by members. There are also intermittent class sessions on different specialized topics.  Social functions are held from time to time throughout the year.  Most members are active in church and volunteer services for the community.  A warm welcome awaits all who visit the class. Late Blessings - Conference Room
A class for parents in their 40’s (or older) with preschool age or younger children. The class focuses on the unique challenges and common experiences of older parents with young children. Class topics include courses on parenting styles and approaches, study sessions on encouraging loving and supporting marriages and lively group discussions relatedto everyday issues within Christian homes. Out and About: Christian Mid Singles (35-55) - twenty30somethings Suite
We are geared toward single adults in their 30’s through 50’s. This is a diverse class of single and married adults, age 40+ with or without children. The class is presently studying Adam Hamilton's Christianity's Family Tree. This class, 50s and older, wants to learn more about the Bible and contemporary issues, and explore how the two interrelate. In addition to supporting DUMC missions, the class undertakes its own local outreach projects. Class social events during the year help foster fun, fellowship and  mutual support among members, prospective members and visitors. Parents in Christian Growth - Francis Asbury B, Room 105
Class members along with guest teachers lead the class which alternates between Bible study and a variety of topics that relate to raising families in today’s world and Bible study.  The class holds social functions and assists with the mission and ministries of the DUMC church community. The Potter’s Clay - Thomas Coke Room, Room 104
This class of 40+ studies Scripture to understand how  God’s Word applies to life.  No homework required – just drop in for a lively discussion.
